In this episode of Florida NewsMakers, Ron Sachs sits down with Florida Secretary of State, Ken Detzner. Secretary Detzner says lawmakers are making upgrades to past reform efforts despite the fact that Democrats claim those changes were a result of the Republican-controlled Legislature.

“These are improvements on a platform that was built in 2011 and they are enhancements,” he tells Sachs. Secretary Detzner also talks about “Viva Florida 500,” the state’s celebration of the 500th anniversary of Juan Ponce de Leon’s arrival on Florida’s east coast.
