NASA Signs New Contract with Jones Edmunds

5-year Deal provides infrastructure and facilities support

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has selected Jones Edmunds & Associates as an architectural/engineering consultant, to provide civil infrastructure and facilities support at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base, as well as other NASA assets, launch and landing sites around the world.

The new five-year, not-to-exceed $20-million contract extends a highly productive relationship between the two organizations.  Over the past 20 years, Jones Edmunds has completed more than 250 projects for NASA, including award-winning designs such as the LEED Platinum Certified Propellants North Administrative and Maintenance Facility – recognized with the 2012 Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers Engineering Excellence Grand Award as well as the 2012 American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Engineering Excellence Honor Award – and the KSC Crawlerway Evaluation, the recipient of the 2011 American Society of Civil Engineers, Florida Section Project of the Year Award.

“It remains a true privilege to play a meaningful role in the country’s space program and to support NASA as it pursues new missions,” said Doug Toth, a Jones Edmunds senior vice president who runs the firm’s Titusville office.

“Much of our success can be attributed to developing partnerships with NASA staff, as well as other consultants and experts in the Spaceport industry,” said Steve Laux, PE, LEED AP, Vice President for Jones Edmunds. “By bringing the right teams together, we’ve been able to develop the most effective solutions for NASA’s unique and challenging environment.”
